

Jesse “Butch” Keeton passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was born on December 11, 1950 to the late Clarence L. Keeton and the late Betty Ann Springer-Keeton in Essex, Ohio. Mr. Keeton enjoyed painting, reading his favorite western novels numerous times and watching his favorite television shows on The Discovery and The History Channels. He is remembered as being one of the strongest guys around and having a love for his family and friends that was indescribable. He enjoyed working on small engines and shared his knowledge with anyone that he could help. Jesse loved having his grandchildren visit, watching his adult sons become the men they have become over the years, and the precious times he spent visiting with his sisters as often as possible.
“Butch” is survived by his three sons; Clay Keeton, his wife Heather, Jesse Allen Keeton, and Greg Williams and his wife Amber. His four sisters that he loves dearly, Charlene Niave and her husband Frank of Denver, Colorado; Mary Ann Pender and her husband Buddy Wayne of Coldwater, Mississippi; Juanita Keeton of Marietta, Georgia; and Connie Marie Keeley and her husband Henry of Hernado, Mississippi and his brother Garland Wells and his wife Brenda of Paintsville, Kentucky. Surviving him also are his longtime partner, Jennette Williams of Rockmart, Georgia and his ex-wife Nancy Spradlin-Keeton of Taylorsville, Georgia, and his grandchildren; Aubrea Keeton, Lane Keeton, and Brayson Williams. He also is survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
His viewing will be held at Owens Funeral home on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. After which he will be buried at the Keeton Family Cemetery in Lake Hope State Park, Ohio.
