Jimmy Fairchild

He was born June 18, 1937 in Ellisville, Mississippi, a son of the late Franklin L. Fairchild and Nancy Elizabeth Nix Fairchild.

Mr. Fairchild was a member of the Emerson Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Navy Reserve, and was the retired plant manager for Price Brothers Pressure Pipe. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Fairchild, his children and spouses, Carla and Freddy Bell, of Athens, Cathy and Mike Youslin, of Cartersville, Pamela and Vick Vickers, of Interlachen, Florida and Karen and John Galbreath, of White, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from the Emerson Baptist Church with Tim Abbott officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to ALS Research.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
