Jimmy Donald Howard

Mr. Howard was born March 1, 1948 in Cartersville, Georgia, son of the late Elmer Howard and Laura Ovilee Worley Howard. He was retired and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed golfing, Hot-rods and Classic cars, was an avid UGA fan and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Shoun Howard.

Survivors include his children, Tina H. Evans (David) of Canton, James Michael “Mike” Howard (Stefany) of Cartersville; grandchildren, Lauren, Hannah, Hallie and Carson; sister, Elizabeth Dempsey of Cartersville; brother, Gene Howard of Cartersville; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 13th at 10:00 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Howard officiating. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include Jay Dempsey, Wesley Howard, Tom Edmondson, Scott Worley, Perry Worley, Toby Howard. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Ray and Ricky Johnson.
