Jimmy Stepp

Mr. Stepp was born on February 18, 1940 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late Rev. Claude K. Stepp and Stella Chambers Stepp.

Mr. Stepp was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Euharlee Maonic Lodge #457. He was also a member of the Yaarab Temple Shriners. In his spare time he enjoyed camping and watching NASCAR. He attended the Daytona 500 every year. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his family.

Mr. Stepp is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Sloan Stepp; brothers, Eston Stepp, Wayne Stepp, W.L. Stepp, Waylon Stepp and Donald Stepp; sister, Jane Stepp Ochoa Paris.

Survivors include his step-mother, Louise Stepp Harper; sister, Cathy Stepp (Jerry) Adams; sisters-in-law, Eva Jo Stepp, Jo Anne Stepp, Boots (Wade) Ash; nieces and nephews, Kenneth (Juanell) Stepp, Keith (Gayla)Stepp, Tommy (Tammie) Stepp, Larry (Nickie) Stepp, Ricky (Shari) Stepp, Stacey (Melanie) Adams, Ray Daniel Ochoa, Nichole (Chris) Darwin, Joy Bevil, Cindy Stepp; great nieces Amy Stepp and Leah Sherwin; lifelong special friend, Lester Stephens.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 28th of January, 2019 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev, Kenneth Stepp, Rev. Edwin Weaver, Rev. Joey Phillips and Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Cassville Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Darren Stepp, Stacey Adams, Jayce Stepp, Blake Stepp and Zack Sherwin.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeffrey Sloan, Darrin Sloan and Brian Sloan.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from eleven o’clock in the morning until the service hour at Owen Funeral Home.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Stepp’s honor to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, 1001 Johnson Ferry Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30342.
