John "Larry" Hardin

Mr. Hardin was born January 18, 1952 in Floyd County, the son of Thelma (McVey) Hardin and the late, John L. Hardin. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, was formerly employed at Shaw Industries and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is his daughter and son in law, Autumn and Darrin Barrett of Cartersville, three grandchildren, Savannah, Madelyn and Dylan Barrett, his mother, Thelma Hardin of Cartersville, sister and brother in law, Lib and Sam Villegas and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 19, 2015, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Arrington and Rev. Ralph Jenkins officiating.

Graveside service will follow Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with Military Rites.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Darnell, Rodney McVey, Ryan Norton, Ed Sisson, Greg Norton and Wayne Shook.
