Josephine Manous

Mrs. Manous was born August 8, 1917 in Barnesville, Ga., a daughter of the late Bill and Nelsie Collier.

She was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church in Roswell and a former longtime member of the Gilmer Street Baptist Church in Cartersville and was retired from EZ Mills.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Olin (Frog) Adams, and her second husband, Dr. John Manous, and her daughter, Linda Adams Hightower, she is survived by one son, Buddy Adams, her step children, Judy Orme and Larry Manous, her grandchildren, Dr. Brian Hightower, Eva Jo Craton, Dr. Brad Adams and Angie Dekle, her step grandchildren, Matthew Orme, Melody Workman, Ashley DiCicco and Aleshia Clee, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, and one sister, Margaret Ballard, of San Diego, California.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2011, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Mann, Pastor Lee Maybree and Rev. Gary Orme officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Craton, Brad Adams, Jonathan Hightower, Kendall Craton, Silas Sutton and Robert Murphy, Van Hightower and Eric DiCicco.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.
