Jaunita was born on March 18, 1932, to the late John Calhoun and Ella Mae Prayther Law. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Howard in 1993 and siblings, Wesley Grizzel and Larry Law.
Jaunita is survived by her daughter, Sharon M. McCombs (John); son, John Quillian Head; grandchildren, Joseph Marlowe (Wanda), George Robert Marlowe “Bud” (Kristina), Haven Wiggins, Andrea Lawson (Michael) Shellie Eldred (Cliff)John Quillian Head Jr, (Carla), Landie Jane Arnold (Dan), Johnathan Head, and Jameson Head as well as several great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 12pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 1pm from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
