Judith Boulay

It is with heavy heart that Lara and I are informing you that our mother – Judith “Judy” Vernon Boulay, age 79 of Tallahassee, FL passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Judy was born in Birmingham, AL on December 23, 1945 to Robert Orion Vernon and Kathryn Winters Vernon.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Boulay; parents, Robert and Kathryn Vernon, and sister Ginger Vernon. She is survived by her brothers Rusty Vernon and Hilton Vernon; her sister Sally Wendt; her daughter Lara and Chris Rodman; son Brent and Sherry Boulay; grandchildren Elise Boulay and Benjamin Boulay.

Our Mom had a passion for travel, family, and art. Our Parents gave us the opportunity to travel the world, live in several different countries and cultures, building relationships and friendships around the globe. Even up to the end, Judy continued to ask about our family, her grandchildren, and friends. She was able to virtually attend Elise’s recitals, along with the occasional football or lacrosse game for Benjamin. We are so blessed that our Tallahassee Family was able to visit often, along with Lara’s continued support not only as her daughter, but caregiver, “go get me chocolate” runner, and so much more.

We also can’t go without reminding everyone about her passion for local art, cultural art, and collectables from all our travels. Mom was an artist at heart. She loved drawing and painting. Her favorites were acrylic on canvas, painting on porcelain, and Dutch Hindeloopen folk art. During the Holidays and Christmas, she always loved going to LeMoyne Arts for new art pieces.

We appreciate everyone’s love and support during this time. We will be scheduling a Celebration of Life at the beach this summer as that is where Judy loved it most. Mom, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
