Judy Elizabeth Sumner

She was born in Henderson, North Carolina, the daughter of George W. and Esther E. (Simmons) Eury and was a member of Liberty Square Church. Judy was a retired school teacher at Emerson Elementary School for 31.222 years. She enjoyed her charity and volunteer activities and all her many friends. She never met a stranger and was loved by all. Most of all she was the best wife and mother a family could ever ask for.

Surviving is her husband of 32 years, Ronald Sumner of Acworth, two sons, Todd Sumner of Acworth, Kyle Sumner and his wife, Courtney of Cartersville, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Eury of North Carolina, sisters, Wanda Robertson and her husband Bickett and Nancy Jones and her husband, Butch, all of North Carolina and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Roberts officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Elliot, Andrew, Trevor, Jesse, Derek, Wendell, Joe, Danny and Mark.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangemets.
