Mrs. Simpson was born October 6, 1927 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late Calvin and Eveline McGee Lewis and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert H. Simpson, her son, Robert “Spot” Simpson, grandson, Chuck Knox and sister, Carrie Mae Branton.
Surviving are her daughters, Glenda Evans and Regina James, both of Cartersville, grandchildren, Tonya Meadows, Rafe Woodall, Jonathan Evans and Sonia Bradley and several great- grandchildren and great great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Milner officiaiting.
Burial will follow in Center Baptist church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
