SFC Kenneth Ernest Broadaway

Kenneth was a proud U.S. Army veteran who honorably served his country and retired as a Sergeant First Class. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose legacy of strength, service, and love will live on through his family.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Zelma Simpson Broadaway; his son, Christopher Boyd Broadaway; granddaughter, Kristina Conrad; brothers, George Broadaway, Dennis Broadaway, and Leroy Broadaway; and sisters, Madge Flemming and Cathy Barrett.

He is survived by his sons: Daryl (Beverly) Broadaway, Kevin Broadaway, and Gregory Broadaway; grandchildren: Brandon (Ashton) Broadaway, Cody Broadaway, Kaitlyn “Maddox” Broadaway, and Kaleb Logan Broadaway; and great-grandchildren: Asher Broadaway, Malcolm Abernathy, and Hayes Broadaway. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine (Sam) Simpson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, with services starting at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home. Burial will follow with full military honors at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
