Rashad was such a kind soul.  He was  a friend to everyone he knew.  We became friends quickly in high school and I knew he would be the daily smile and laugh I could count on.  We ran cross country together and conquered many, many miles (once or twice skipping all together to go shopping down town, sorry Coach Matherne).   The picture below was our trip to Charlotte, NC to run in the footlocker race.  I was truly blessed to have Rashad’s presence in my life.  Sadly I only saw Rashad once or twice after high school, but I’m so grateful for the memories we shared together.  My heart goes out to all of Rashad’s close family and friends.  I am praying for you all.  ❤️

There’s too many memories to count. The fun began 17 years ago. You have always been my bestfriend regardless of how many weeks we went without speaking. You were always on my tail about what I need to be doing. You were my backbone. You supported me through whatever. You supported my relationships, my living situations & you showed up to every event I hosted. You showed up for my very first art show in 2019 when I figured out who I was. I will forever say your name, think of you every single day. & will love you forever 🤍

Rashad always made people laugh, my favorite memory with him was the night him and Hannah took me out for my birthday, first night in Buckhead. I will never forget it. They made sure the night was fun, we danced for hours, and we simply enjoyed ourselves. Even when we were in PCB, he was the comedian of the era. Those memories I will forever hold on to. I thank him for being one of the most amazing humans I came across in my life. So honored I was able to be apart of his.

I moved here 4 years ago and started working at Nots Logistics a few months after. As soon as I met Rashad he was my boo. We hung out together, went to house parties and had drinks just the 2 of us so we could just talk. I'm going to miss his random picture texts and our intimate conversations about life and love. He was one of the best friends I've ever had and I'm devastated that he's gone. I will love you forever and always keep the moments we shared close to my heart ❤

My condolences to the family and friends of Rashad. He was a great young man with a bright smile and loving spirit.  May the Peace of God comfort and guide you during your bereavement. I pray the many memories of times spent with him will comfort you and  put a smile on your face as you reflect on his sweet soul.

Our family is deeply saddened at the loss of our sweet neighbor Rashad. He was always quick to wave and chat when we saw each other outside.  Our hearts are breaking for Belindia,  and we hope we can be source of comfort to her during this time.  We will miss Rashad’s sweet smile and his kindness.   Much love,  the Shepherd family.
