Larry Eugene Mullinax

Mr. Mullinax was born April 8, 1941 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Boyd and Helen Crook Mullinax.

Larry spent his entire business career in the carpet industry, spending a long part of in Dalton. He was a world traveler and had a passion for sailing, making many trips in the waters of New England and the Virgin Islands. He was a gentle, loving and humble husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Eileen Pendley Mullinax, his children, Wes and Bonnie Mullinax, of Cartersville, Susan and Scott Patton, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, and Amy and Frank Rabb, of Atlanta, his grandchildren, Jordan and Dave Polhemus, Cooper Mullinax, Matthew, Jon and Emily Patton, and Oliver Rabb, sister and brother in law, Pat and Jon Evans, of Dalton, brother and sister in law, Reg and Linda Mullinax, of Dalton and business partner and good friend, Daniel Hoyt.

Memorial services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 13, 2013 from the Heritage Baptist Church, 1070 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, Ga. 30120. A visitation will be held at the church for two hours prior to the service, from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. Dr. Carl Schlich will officiate the service.
