

Mrs. Wheeler was born December 16, 1933 in Rome, Georgia, daughter of the late Ralph Hobson Miller and Mary Evelyn Carey Miller.
She graduated from Cartersville High School in May, 1951. Ann married her high school sweetheart on April 11, 1952. After 58 years of marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Wheeler on December 17, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Miller Weimer.
Mrs. Wheeler was employed with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Allatoona, Buford, Carters Powerhouse from January 1957 to December 1988 when she retired with 31 years service.
She was a member of Sam Jones United Methodist Church. Ann’s greatest loves was for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Jimmy Pike; grandson and wife, Will and Kristen Pike of Atlanta; a sister, Jo Jones; brother and wife, Sonny and Mary Nell Miller all of Cartersville; sister-in-law and husband, Sue Wheeler Farmer and Ronald Farmer of Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; numerous cousins also survive.
A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Sam Jones United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Green and Rev. Kevin Lobello officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Sam Jones United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
