Leonard Jenkins Jr

Mr. Jenkins was born December 8, 1930 in Cartersville, Georgia son of the late Leonard, Sr. and Leola Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a retired truck driver and was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Gail Strickland Jenkins.

Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Jenkins (Robin) and Steve Jenkins (Dawn); grandchildren, Shaun Jenkins(Melita) and Jessica Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Avery Daniel Jenkins and Aiden Jack Jenkins; brothers and sisters, Grady Jenkins, Edna Amos, Louise Harper, Glenda Adams, Tommy Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins and Carol Ann Holcomb; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning April 22nd at 11:30 AM in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Nichols, Dawn Jenkins and Scott Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home.
