Lester Arthur King

Mr. King was born December 9, 1945 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, a son of the late Lester A. King, Sr. and Rena Lebeau King.

He was retired from the Lockheed Martin Corporation where he was employed as director of human resources and human relations. He was a former member and past master of the Marion-Dunn Lodge #19, Free and Accepted Masons, in Ocala, Florida and a current member of the Cartersville, Ga. Lodge #63 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Pichette King, one son, Gregory Peter King, of Marietta, Georgia, two daughters, Sandi Tompkins, of Marietta, Georgia and Nadine Wood, of Ocala, Florida, six grandchildren, Emily and Rylee Wood, Will and Walker Tompkins, and Kara and Ryan King. He is also survived by two brothers, James King, of Easthampton, Massachusetts and Robert King, of Pahrump, Nevada and a sister, Susan Thibault, of Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 13, 2010 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Willard officiating. Masonic rites will be observed by the Cartersville Lodge #63 F&AM.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. Friday.
