

She was born on November 18, 1959 in Germany to the late George Robert Wade and Elaine Touchard Wade. Linda is also preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Wade Wald.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Hartley; daughter Emma Nicole Hartley of Kirkwood, MO; bonus children, David Hartley (Dana) and Melissa Poteet (Josh); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as nephew, Larry Goodman and neice, Jennifer Peek (Jansen).
Linda worked for the McDonalds Corporation and made her way from French Fry Fryer to District Manager. When McDonald’s opened Leaps and Bounds (which eventually became Discovery Zone) in Kennesaw, she became their General Manager. She traveled extensively with McDonald’s Corporation the many stores in the southeast.
Apart from her professional career, Linda was highly involved with the Etowah Valley Young Marines in Cartersville and Post Commander of the Young Marines in Rome, Ga. She loved to craft, the beach and visiting casinos with Michael. She was a devote Christian and had a deep faith in God.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1pm followed by a Celebration of Linda’s Life at 2pm at Owen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House or Shriners Children's Hospital.
