Lois Joy Ballew

Mrs. Ballew was born December 26, 1930 in North Carolina, the daughter of the late, Ernest Theo and Miranda (Wright) Laney, and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed Sewing, Crocheting and going to Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Ballew, brothers, Ralph, Ted and Clell Laney and sisters, Ruth Chandler and Millie Everett.

Surviving are daughters and sons in law, Jo and Wayne Templeton of Mableton, Karon and David Johnson of Dalton, four grandchildren, Brett and Betsy Graham, Sy and Ashley Martin, Lori Gomez and Jacob Johnson, six great-grandchildren, Molly and Mattie Graham, Julie White, Tori Gomez, John and Ada Martin, brother and sister in law, Eugene and Carrie Laney of Robinsville, North Carolina and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Clinton Green and Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Ballew will lie in state and the family will receive friends at the church Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
