

Louise Ray King, 88, of Cartersville, Georgia, died Monday, November 15, 2010. Mrs. King was born March 17, 1922 in Calhoun, Georgia, a daughter of the late Boyce Ray and Dimple Edmondson Ray. She was a Cartersville resident since 1955. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Cartersville, a graduate of West Georgia College, and had retired from GMAC on Peachtree Street in Atlanta in 1982, where she was an accountant. After retirement Mrs. King spent a lot of time at the family cabin in Hiawassee. She liked to travel and had visited forty seven states and Canada. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, C. Melvin King, son, Paul King, of Alpharetta and son and daughter in law, David and Janet King, of Lawrenceville, three granddaughters, Katie King, Emily King and Mary Beth King, her sister in law, Martha Louise Mercer, of Cartersville, a niece and grandniece, Andria Clayton and LeAnne Kelly and other nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be held 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2010, from the Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Randall Williams officiating.
