Louise Marie Story

Mrs. Story was born on January 20, 1935 in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late Walter Jackson Haygood and Celia Mae Watkins Haygood.

Mrs. Story was a loving and devoted wife and mother of six children. She adored children and was like a mother to all of the children that she kept. She was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking for the entire family and tending to her gardens.

Mrs. Story is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-three years, William Story; sisters, Charlotte Phillips and Christine Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Bobby) Ross of Cartersville, Debra (Hugh) Abernathy of Cartersville, Melissa (Donald, Jr.) Tanner of Rome, Autumn (Ralph) Amos of Adairsville; sons, William David Story of Cartersville, Charles Timothy (Lakita) Story of Calhoun; many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Story of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Charles Willy "Bud" (Maryann) Haygood and Walter Thomas "Tommy" (Connie)Haygood, all of Adairsville; a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 14th of July, 2019 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Kennedy, Rev. Jeff Gentry and Rev. Alton Carter officiating. Interment will immediately follow in The Church of God of the Union Assembly Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Jesse Haygood, Trey Tanner, Allen Ross, Brandon Abernathy, Andrew Kennedy and Danden Kennedy.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock in the evening until eight on Saturday the 13th of July, 2019 at Owen Funeral Home.
