Lucille Tidwell Mills

Lucille Tidwell Mills, 87, of Highway 20 NE, Cartersville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013.

Mrs. Mills was born November 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Jesse Tidwell and Nessie Evans Tidwell.

Mrs. Mills retired from EZ Mills in the sewing department. She loved spending time with her family, caretaking for others, and sewing.

She was an active member of Oakland Heights Baptist church in Cartersville, GA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Zedick Mills; brother, Hubert Tidwell and sister in law, Lois Tidwell; and grandson, Zegan Mills.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Sheila Mills of Cartersville, GA; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Sullivan and Opal Powers, both of Calhoun, GA; brother-in-law, Zenick Mills of Calhoun, GA; grandson, Matthew Evans of Cartersville, GA; special nephews, Tony and Terry Tidwell of Cartersville, GA; special niece, Joan Tidwell Kown of Cartersville, GA; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held 1:00 PM Friday, January 18, 2013 from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Vernon officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as Pallbearers were Tony Tidwell, Terry Tidwell, Matthew Evans, Mike Kown, Ben Morris and David Williams.

The family received friends 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the funeral Home.
