Melvin Phillips Sellears

Mr. Sellears was born December 24, 1949 in Hall County, Georgia son of the late Randolph L. Sellears and Effie Lou Boggus Sellears. He was a self-employed Construction worker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Stacie Cornwell of Rockmart; grandchildren, Courtney Cornwell, Kaleb Adkins; his son, Eddie Bentley of Acworth; grandchild, Taylor Bentley; sister, Delores Pollett of Ellijay; brother, Meldon Sellears of Acworth; sister-in-law, Renade Sellears; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, September 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Bethelhem Baptist Church in Lula, Ga. with Rev. Michael Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include Meldon Sellears, Anthony Pollett, Ashley King, Maverick King, Christopher Abbott.
