Mildred Thomason

Mrs. Mildred Thomason, 93, of Cartersville, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was born in Jasper, GA on May 19, 1926 to the late Rev. Sherman Wigington and Mrs. Myrtle Fulton Wigington.

Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Emerson. She was also very involved in the Bartow County Genealogical Society. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mildred was also a talented seamstress. Mildred will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Otis Thomason and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters; Nancy Patrick and Norma Madge Thomason, grandsons; Tyler Patrick and Todd (Kelly) Patrick, great grandchildren; Melissa and Abby Patrick, brother, James Wigington and sister, Shirley Duncan. Several nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Mildred's memory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Monday, January 6, 2020 at two o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Steve Wigington officiating. Interment will follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta.

The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Monday, January 6, 2020 from noon until the service hour.
