Ray Kennedy

Mr. Kennedy was born on September 7, 1928 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late Hugh Kennedy and Lillie Mozelle Butler Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a dedicated employee for over 30 years with Colonial Bread Company, where he served as a delivery man. He was an avid gardener who loved to spend time tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. He was also a long time member of Cassville Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Susan Gaines Kennedy; several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, Bob Kennedy; grandchildren, Katherine (Brian) Wallraven; and Andrew Kennedy; great-grandson, John Robert Wallraven; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven-thirty in the morning on Thursday, the 17th of November, 2016 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with military honors presented.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at Owen Funeral Home.
