Richard Blake Cowart

Blake was born January 17, 1985 in Bartow County, the son of Barbara A. Cowart and the late, Lonnie Richard (Rick) Cowart and was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father and his paternal grandparents, Grace Cowart-Pressley and Lonnie Wynell Cowart.

Surviving is his daughter, Journey Ann Cowart, his mother, Barbara A. Cowart, sisters, Mary John (Cowart) Chapman and her husband, Tony, Mandi Cowart, Karlie Cowart, brothers, Todd Cowart, Cam Cowart, a niece, Anna Grace Chapman, grandparents, Betty and John Flowers, aunts, Pam Hyde and Johnnette Flowers Stewart and special friend, Brandy Boyd.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Joe McKaig officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearer will be Tony Chapman, Brett Spradley, Blake Weaver,Josh Poole, Brian Gardner, Bill Jones, Bobby Baker and Dale Hulsey.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
