Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Dorothy Goodwin, brother, William Goodwin. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Sue Goodwin; daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Young, Autumn (Darrin) Barrett; grandchildren, Jordon (John) White, Jamie Hardin, Savannah (Bailey) Hawkins, Madelyn (Cameron) Furr, Dylan Barrett; great-grandchildren, Reese Hardin and Easton Furr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 10, 2025 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Robert to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
