Ruben Edward "Ed" Oliver

He was born in Kennesaw, GA on April 08, 1937.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Lummy and Emma Oliver.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Oliver; children, Ron Oliver, Donald Oliver, and Linda Oliver Perkins; step-children, David Bearden, Steve Bearden and Penny Bearden Harris; four siblings.

He was a loving “PaPa“to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ed loved the Lord and was always involved and faithful in many ministries in his church as well as volunteering at the Harvest House. He was a diesel mechanic by trade and loved going on church trips with Barbara and their friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 27th of April, 2023 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Dr. Joe E. Edwards officiating. Entombment will follow at Providence Cemetery. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from ten o’clock in the morning until the hour of service at Owen Funeral Home.
