Rufus Napoleon Hill

Mr. Hill was born February 12, 1940, son of the late Mike Ernest Hill and Effie Cantrell Hill. He was retired from West Lumber Company after 30 years of employment. He was co-owner/operator of the Wagon Wheel Restaurant and owner of Westside Appliance. He was a member of Atco Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a loving husband and father. He loved playing golf, watching the grandchildren dance, play baseball and bowl. He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers; Evelyn Holcomb, Johnnie Hartsfield, Sally Byers, Lewis Hill, Herman Hill, James Hill, Clifford Hill, T.F. Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lou Keever Hill, to whom he was married to for 57 years; daughters, Pamela Hill Greene and husband Barry, Janis L. Hill all of Cartersville; grandchildren, Lindsey Greene Stough and husband Brandon of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mason Greene of Cartersville, Taylor Greene of Atlanta, Tyler Hill of Cartersville; great grandchildren, Charlie Stough and Grady Stough of Tuscaloosa, AL; sister, Bonnie Fuiek of Loganville, GA; brother, Jerry Hill and wife Janice of Cartersville; a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and the wonderful caregivers Shannon Hartfield, Debbie Smith, Stella Heard, Alice Black and Nancy Webb.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday afternoon April 13th at 1:00 P.M. at Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Interment will follow.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home.
