

Mr. Taylor was born on March 18, 1930 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late H.A. Taylor, Sr. and Martha Cornwell Taylor.
Mr. Taylor proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Russ Cowart; brothers, H.A. Taylor, Jr. and Billy Taylor; sister, Juanita Bagwell.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-four years, Yvonne Taylor; sons, Steve (Sandy) Taylor and Keith (Susan) Taylor; grandchildren, Megan (Derron) Brown, Byron (Felicia) Taylor, Allison Cooney, Risa (Randall) Smith, Leah (Aaron) Vickroy; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Patsy) Taylor; sisters, Marie (Jimmy) Elrod and Doris (W.A.) Ingram.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, May 5, 2016 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Derron Brown officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Pine Log United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Byron Taylor, Randall Smith, Hal Womack, Wil Womack, Aaron Vickroy and Zachary Cowart.
The family will receive friends from five o’clock in the evening until eight on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Pleasant Olive Baptist Church, 240 Falling Springs Rd., Rydal, GA.
