Thomas Jefferson Green

Mr. Green was born December 2, 1922 in Irwin County, Georgia, son of the late Thomas Jefferson Green, Sr. and Hattie Pearl Hester Green. He was retired from Lockheed and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was an avid golfer and member of Cartersville Country Club for almost 60 years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre, and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his fist wife, Mary Louise “Weesa” Sanderfer Green and his 2nd wife, Betty Rayborn Green; brothers & sisters, Hoyt Green, Leon Green, Alfred Green, Ilva Horsley, Mary Emma Zimmerman, Hattie Pearl Sheehan, Jimmie Christine Hansen.

Survivors include a son, Paul Thomas Green and wife Joan Cagle Green; grandchild, Thomas John Green and wife Stacie Shiver Green; great grandchild, Griffin Thomas Green; numerous nieces and nephews; caretaker, London Richards.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, November 2nd at 3:00 p.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.
