T.L. Thomas Lamar Mitchell

Mr. Mitchell was born May 17, 1927, was a retired truck driver for American Freight Line, a member of the Teamsters Union and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Mitchell, his first wife, Betty Mitchell and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his children, Johnny and Jill Mitchell of Rydal, Connie Mitchell-White and her husband, Freddy White of Cartersville, Terry and Pam Mitchell of Cartersville, his wife, Aubury Mitchell of Adairsville, step children, Jan Deason and Harold Garner, grandchildren, Brent and Abby Wilkey, Cami James, Caleb Mitchell, Tate Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell, Spencer Mitchell , Corey and Ashley Hale, Taylor and Brandy White, great grandchildren, Dane Wilkey, Jayda White, Addison White and Webb Wilkey, sister, Louise King of Milner,Ga and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Brewer Rev. Jody Cagle and Rev. Dewayne McCrary officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be Brent Wilkey, Caleb Mitchell, Tate Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell, Taylor White, Corey Hale and Spencer Mitchell.
