Vera Smith Davis

Mrs. Davis was born January 27, 1925 in Cartersville, the daughter of the late, George David and Lucy Mae (Greenwood) Smith, was retired from Chemical Products and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Claude, Emory and Clifton Smith and a sister, Bessie Worley.

Surviving is her husband, Harold Davis , daughter and son in law, Joyce and Lamar Brock, of Cartersville, four grandchildren, Chuck Bohannon of Cartersville, Dana and Jon Lebkisher of McClain, Virginia, Erin and Doug Morrison, Haley Brock, of Cartersville, six great grandchildren, Harlee Roland, Cole and Reed Bohannon, Owen and Ethan Lebkisher, Harrison Heath, a sister, Gladys Thacker of Cartersville and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Green officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be, Jon Lebkisher, Doug Morrison, Chuck Bohannon, David Smith, Robert Davis and Doug Fortner.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
