

Ayden Eric Champion, 1 month old, passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents at Duke University Hospital on January 10, 2014. After struggling with heart disease, he has gone on to be with Jesus. Ayden is the son of Eric and Me’chelle Champion of Cary, NC. Born on December 10, 2013, he was the answer to their prayers, and they waited for his birth with joyful expectation. During his visit on earth he enjoyed listening to music, cuddling with soft toys, and holding hands with his parents, and the ones who loved him most. He touched many lives and was loved by all who met him. His life was a brief gift to us that will live on in our hearts; he will greatly be missed.
Ayden leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Eric and Me’chelle Champion; 5 great grandparents, Rose, Jessie, Shirley, Jimmy, and Rodger; 4 grandparents, Gail (deceased), Raymond, Eric (Alisa), and Latonia (Terrence); 7 aunts, Tanaisha, Domonique, Taleaya, Tiffany (Ahmed), Candice (Ron), Joy (Dwayne), and Gayle; 7 uncles, Dymitri, Isaiah, Stanley, Rhonique, Rhaaliek, Rhaamell, and Jason; 13 first cousins, Jace, Randy, Christopher, Sophia, Dorian, London, Alonzo, Tony, Adonis, Adainian, Yasmin, Radiya, and Ahmed Jr.; also a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
