Barbara Ann Shallcross

Barbara Ann Shallcross, 65, died Friday, October 14, 2011. She was born in Benton, IL on November 7, 1945 to Thomas and Jeanette Clinton. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1963. Barbara was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary, NC. She was a very special wife and mother with a talent for cooking, sewing and making everyone feel special. She loved golf, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren, who will miss her greatly.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim; son, Mark of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Kathryn Pipkin and husband, Neal of Cary, NC; grandchildren, Taylor and Eleanor Pipkin of Cary, NC; mother, Jeanette Clinton of Benton, IL; brother, Tom Clinton and wife, Peggy of Marion, IL; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary, NC.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary, NC from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
