Carole Rosamond Bonney passed away on April, 2, 2017 which happened to be her 81st Birthday, after a long and difficult struggle with Alzheimers Disease. There is peace knowing she is once again healthy, happy, and whole again in heaven.
Carole was a compassionate, loving and generous lady who made a difference in this world with her kindness and love.
She was born April, 2, 1936 in Norfolk, Virginia. She later moved to the Washington, D.C. area, where she met and married the love of her life, Oswald “Bud” Bonney on December 14, 1957. With Bud being in the Navy, they soon found themselves travelling the globe.
Their first daughter Cheryl was born in Kenitra, Morroco in 1960. After that, they returned to the states where they had their second daughter Karen in Maryland in 1963 and their third daughter Susan in Virginia in 1969.
After a brief stint in the Navy, bud went on to work in Naval Intelligence and Carole stayed home and did a wonderful job raising and nurturing their 3 daughters. Carole cherished her children and always treated them with love, kindness and patience.
Once they were older, Carole went to work in Naval Intelligence herself and the two of them worked together day by day.
Sadly, Bud passed away in August of 2015 and Carole’s battle with Alzheimers took a dramatic turn for the worse. She had many wonderful caregivers to include Marian Devine who doted on her and nurtured her in the same way she had done for her children many years ago.
Carole has now joined Bud in heaven and the two can continue their amazing journey.
Carole is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Lauren Cornwell, Chelsea Harris, Evan Harris, and Vivian Carrasco.
She will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Martha’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Apex, NC.
