She grew up in Kingston, NY, before moving to NC where she met her life partner Edward “Eddie” Beasley, who preceded her in death. They managed Beasley’s Garage together for twenty years. Later in life, she loved working at the NC Library for the Blind ad Physically Disabled with her best friend Teresa Stallings.
She is survived by her daughters Dawn Klemm and fiancé Ken Bedsole, Cynthia Klemm and her three cats, Amanda Delgado and husband Allan Delgado, and her grandchildren Sophie, Oliver, and Lucas.
