Christina Lee “Tina” Boyd (née Mulkey), age 52, passed away on February 1, 2026, while on vacation in Castries, St. Lucia. Born on August 23, 1973, in Raleigh, North Carolina, she lived in Raleigh all of her life.
Tina graduated from St. Mary’s School and went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Wake Technical Community College. Her compassion and gift of patience led her to work with autistic children at the Frankie Lemmon Center for several years—a role that brought her immense joy.
From an early age, Tina had a profound love for animals and music. She grew up riding horses and competing at horse shows, developing a lifelong affection for animals—especially her beloved cats. Music was another constant in Tina’s life. It was through music that she first connected with Bolden “Bo” Boyd. Their friendship blossomed over time into a deep and enduring love, culminating in marriage eleven years ago.
Tina is survived by her husband and the love of her life Bo Boyd; her mother Elizabeth “Bess” Yang and stepfather Kimmy Yang; her father James “Jim” Mulkey and stepmother Barbara Mulkey; her father-in-law Bolden Boyd; and mother-in-law Dee Dee Boyd. She also leaves behind her brother David Mulkey (Jessica) and sister Allison Mulkey (Electra); as well as her cherished nieces, Regan and Quinn, and nephew, Conor.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents James and Frances Mulkey and her maternal grandparents Colin Douglas and Mary James Cowling.
Tina’s gentle presence touched many lives. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her best—as a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Visitation will be held on February 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC; followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. All are welcomed to join the family for the reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the SPCA of Wake County. https://spcawake.org
