Clifford J. Doehring

Clifford J. Doehring, 74, of Cary, NC, died Saturday, January 25, 2014, in Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC. He was born February 2, 1939, in Ferndale, MI, a son of the late Wilbert and Olive (Ankley) Doehring. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a foster care and adoption social worker. He was an Army veteran. He was a very avid fisherman and also loved to hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith D. Doehring. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marie Morris Doehring; two sons, Todd Curtis Doehring, of Cleveland, OH, and Jason Scott Doehring, of TX; a daughter, Rebekah L. Dumouchelle, of TX; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation was held 4-7pm with a service immediately following on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. Friends will be received 1-4 pm Friday, January 31, 2014 in the James E. Lindsay Funeral Home Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, PA. Funeral services will then be held at 4 pm in the funeral home, with the Rev. Rich Phipps officiating. Interment will be private in New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Way Inc., 319 K St., South Boston, MA 02127 in Clifford's name.
