Dalton Anderson Woodard

In the early morning hours of January 25, 2015 a bright and beautiful star lost his light and ascended into Heaven to be with our Lord and God. Dalton, your earthly presence will be forever cherished and missed beyond words. You touched the lives of everyone who was fortunate to know you. Your smile and humor lit up a room, your love and kindness warmed many hearts, your talents and skills amazed people, and your hugs were all a person needed to feel special. We all need one right now…

Dalton is survived by his parents, Anne Marie DeFranco Telford and Bill Woodard; best friend and brother, Stockton; stepfather, Ric Telford; stepmother, Melissa Woodard; stepbrothers, Corbin and Drew Telford; his beloved dog, Brier; grandparents, Linda and Tom Pospichal, Tony DeFranco and Tina Coccetti, John and Kim Woodard, Judy and Norm Price; great grandmother, Barbara Hackett; aunts, uncles, cousins and multitude of friends too numerous to name.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 12:00-1:00pm at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC 27613, with a funeral mass following at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Dalton Woodard Memorial Fund at any Suntrust Bank branch. The money will be used in a way that Dalton would love, assisting disadvantaged children to attend Jibtopia Wakeboarding camp, as well as donating to Horse & Buddy (where Dalton volunteered), a therapeutic riding program for people with disabilities.
