David Hubbard Moore

David graduated from Broughton High School in 1965. He then went on to North Carolina State University and graduated with a degree in Economics. While at NCSU, he was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. David had a successful career as an agency manager with Equitable Life Insurance/AXA Advisors for 46 years. He was inducted into the Equitable Hall of Fame. David is survived by his loving wife Susan Moore of 53 years and his two daughters, Libby Talley and Ashley Hinton. He is also survived by his two son-in-laws Junior Talley and Andrew Hinton along with four grandchildren Katie Talley, Luke Talley, Lucy Hinton and Max Hinton. David is predeceased by his parents David Moss Moore and Inez Moore and his sister Polly Ann Moore.

David was known for being a devoted and loving husband and father. He cherished his time as a counselor at Camp Seagull where "Dirty Dave and Salty Sue" enjoyed many a summer. He was an avid tennis player and played golf regularly. David loved spending time fishing at Ocean Isle Beach with his family, dancing in the kitchen with his bride, playing golf with his sons-in-law, and attending every sporting event and activity of his grandchildren.

David had a strong faith in God and was always very involved in the church. His favorite Bible Verse was, "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 NLT

A celebration of life for David will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511, followed by a reception at 11:00 AM.

ln lieu of flowers please give to Dorcas Ministries where David volunteered for many years or the Samaritans Purse. Although he is has gone, he shall never be forgotten.
