

Dorothy Raulet, 85, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home in Cary on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2010. She was born on August 22, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She married her best friend and soul mate, the late George Raulet, on July 4, 1943. They were happily married for 64 years.
Dorothy is survived by her son Richard and wife Lynn; her daughter Nancy and husband Charlie; her brother, Bud and wife Ethel; her sister Jean and husband Mike; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Dorothy was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and especially loved her Coke floats from Dairy Queen. Our cherished memories of Dorothy will include her bright smile, her sense of humor, her generosity, and most of all her unconditional love. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at at 2 PM St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Cary (221 Union Street). Inurnment within the Columbarium of St. John's Episcopal Church will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2011 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
