Francis "Fran" Joseph Hawk

Fran was born on September 18, 1930, in Binghamton, NY, the son of the late Francis H. Hawk and Jennie H. Hawk. He graduated from Binghamton Central High School and attended Harper College. He was employed by IBM from 1953 – 1990 and worked through various programming fields. Francis had a love of music, collecting both classical and jazz. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as sailing.

Along with his parents, Fran was preceded in death by his niece, Georgia Scherer.

Francis is survived by his wife of 33 years, Noriko W. Hawk; children, Stephen Hawk, Kathy Barnack (Michael), and John Hawk; grandchildren, Cole Barnack and Natalia Barnack; sisters, Patricia A. Campbell and Marie C. Babish (Michael); niece Lisa M. Ruest (David); nephews, Stephen F. Babish and Sebastian J. Monticello; and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd, at 3:00 pm, at First Reformed Church of Cary, 555 Southwest Maynard Road, Cary, NC, followed by a reception.
