I knew Francis from our Sunday school class. He was always very kind and friendly in his gentle way. I always looked forward to seeing what perfectly matching outfit he'd wear....from his flashy bowties right down to his stylish shoes. His fashion and style were unmatched. I'd always tell him how much I enjoyed his flair for fashion. He would smile his soft smile. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope you will find comfort in knowing he's in heaven with Jesus and his loved ones. Please know our class will be making a Gideon memorial donation honoring Francis.

Dear Mary, Joanne, and Craig,

Please accept my sympathy on the loss of your precious father!  The last time I saw your father was at the Parkesburg High School class reunion where he was able to reconnect with so many old friends including my father Thaddeus 'Bud' Wilde.  Many smiles were made that day and was so glad he was able to travel up to Parkesburg to reconnect with so many.

Dear Underwood family:

On behalf of the Petersen family, we just want to extend our deepest and sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved dad "Pops," and Grandpa Frank.  42 years ago, my late mom Anna picked out Craig Underwood to be my sister Karen's husband while we were at Long Hill Chapel, Chatham, NJ.  How blessed and privileged we have been to be knitted with the Underwoods -Francis, and the late Carol, late Mitzi and entire Underwood family, Garnet Crabbs, Pappy and the Rambos.  It's been a wonderful life and such a joy to go through the journey of life with you, from 4th of July barbecues and Chatham parade, Christmas dinners, birthday parties and vacations at Camp of the Woods.  Francis's greatest legacy will be his faith in Jesus Christ and the wonderful children he raised.  God bless you, rest in peace and "Well done my good and faithful servant." A life well remembered.  We love you and will miss you very much.  Thank you for being in our lives.

We're going to miss Francis and his quiet presence.  We have enjoyed the times we spent at his home.
