Gail Robinson McLean

Gail Robinson McLean, 67, of Raleigh, NC, lost her courageous battle with cancer on January 17, 2017. The daughter of Benjamin Oliver and Sarah Parker Blue Robinson, Gail graduated from Fayetteville High School (NC) in 1968. That same year, Gail proudly participated in the Miss North Carolina Pageant as Miss Fayetteville. She graduated from East Carolina University in 1971 with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography. While attending East Carolina, Gail was a varsity cheerleader and remained a lifelong fan and Pirate Club member.

Gail enjoyed a long and successful career in the banking industry and retired from Wells Fargo in 2007.

Gail is survived by her loving and devoted husband Douglas, daughter Sarah Elliot Richardson (Joel) of Apex, NC; Whitney E. Jameson of Greenville, NC; granddaughter Kate Elisabeth Richardson; and cousin Betty Blue Packard of Clinton, NC.

Services will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd., Cary, NC 27511 on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:30 am.
