Glena Augusta Behrens Pettinelli

Glena Augusta Pettinelli passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025 in Raleigh, NC. She was 91 years old. Glena will be remembered as a warm and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

Glena is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years Bob Pettinelli, her son Glen Pettinelli, her grandsons Robbie Pettinelli and Connor Claver, her daughter-in -laws Sherida Gerard, Cindy Pello and Sara Pettinelli, her great granddaughter Sophia and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother George Behrens and her son Robert Pettinelli.

Glena was born in New York and spent her youth in Crotonville, where she met and married her husband Bob. She worked as a dental assistant before moving to Raleigh, NC in 1970. Glena and Bob owned Tiara Jewelry store in Wilson, NC for 20 years.

Family was always a priority for Glena. She never missed a birthday, always sending a card or a phone call. She made every holiday special, especially when she made her famous breakfast stollen. Her always spic and span house was the envy of all, just make sure you take your shoes off! She loved traveling with family and friends, and her garden was her pride and joy. Everyone she met loved her and were happy to hear her signature “oh golly”. She has left an indelible mark on everyone she touched and will be missed beyond words.
