Jack William Stewart

Jack graduated high school in Munfordville, KY and later graduated from Western Kentucky State College. He served in the US Navy for 3 years as an Aviation Electronics Technician, and was awarded The Good Conduct Medal and The National Defense Service Medal. Jack taught school in Breckinridge County, KY and later in Dekalb County, GA before starting his career at IBM. He retired from IBM in 1987. Jack was a 50 year mason of The Green River Lodge. His other interests included genealogy, nature, and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; four children Judy Perry, William Stewart, Donna Jones, Charles Stewart, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday March 5, 2017 from the Chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. The family will greet friends from 2-2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Transitions Life Care at 250 Hospice Cir, Raleigh, NC 27607.
