Jeanne Elizabeth Giddey Miller

Jeanne Elizabeth Giddey Miller, 93, passed away on September 12, 2013. She was born in 1920 in Detroit, MI to the late York R.F. Giddey and Marjorie Dell Brokaw Giddey. Jeanne was the widow of Robert Harmon Miller who died in 1984. She is survived by daughter Nancy C. Miller-Serozi, spouse Mike Serozi of Cary, daughter Joanne York Whitworth of Doylestown, PA., grandsons Reid Serozi and wife Kimberly, Brent Serozi and wife Alicia and great grandchildren Jacob and Avery-Mae Serozi.

She was a graduate of Central High School. After retiring from the Ferndale, MI school system, she worked for Tri County Packaging, the family business.

Jeanne had an avid interest in genealogy, volunteering at the Ferndale Historical Society, golf and her beloved bridge. She was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Ezra Chapter, Royal Oak, MI.

In 2000 Jeanne moved to Cary, NC to be closer to family. She embraced her new town by joining the Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church, the Cary Woman's Club and several bridge groups.

During her last years Jeanne kept us laughing with her witty comments. She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. Family will receive friends after the service. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, MI.
