

Jesse (Jack) Vause Beaman died peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was born to the late Grace and Jesse Beaman on December 3, 1934, in Harrisonburg, VA. Jack married Betty Blanchard on New Year’s Day, 1957, and was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Jack is predeceased by his wife, Betty Blanchard Beaman. He is survived by his children Suzy Beaman McPherson, Joe Beaman and his wife Catherine; sister-in-law Linda Blanchard Martin and her husband Dudley; grandchildren Matthew McPherson, Parker Beaman, Mary Jo Beaman, and Coley Pritchett; niece Paige Treichler and husband Tom and their children, Gracie and Ava Mae. The family would like to acknowledge Janet Hayden for her exceptional care of Jack during the past three years.
Jack graduated Wendell High School in 1953 as salutatorian and from East Carolina College in 1958 with honors. In 1977 he completed the Executive Program of Professional Management at UNC Chapel Hill.
Jack began his career with Durham Life Insurance Company in 1958 in underwriting and progressed to the position of Vice President of Administration. In 1965 Jack was among the first professionals chosen to work with RCA computer systems.
Jack was a born leader and enjoyed directing the activities of many organizations. He was the organizer for the office golf and bowling leagues, coach of Little League baseball and youth basketball teams, Vice President of Cary Band Boosters, a longtime member of MUD Investment Club (MacGregor Ups and Downs), and an avid fan of Fantasy Football leagues and March Madness brackets.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, at Hillcrest Cemetery, 608 Page Street , Cary, NC 27511.
