John Lawrence Windsor

John Lawrence Windsor, 60, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 11, 1949 in Ridley Park, PA; he was the son of Laura Bentley Desper, of Cary and John and Marilyn Windsor, of Gilbert, AZ.

John retired to North Carolina after a well traveled life across the United States. He enjoyed cooking and was known for his love of Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He is survived by his parents; siblings: Laura Stealey, of Cary, James Desper, of Broomall, PA, David Desper, of Trainer, PA, Paul Desper, of Upper Darby, PA, Jayme Dubernas, of Cary, Jackie and Larry Book, of Lakewood, CO, Darlene and Mark Werner, of Gilbert, AZ, Kelly and Dave McRae, of North Glen, CO and Colleen Propst, of Kirkland, WA; nieces and nephews: Bill and Meredith Stealey, Tiffany and Jimmy Stopper, Aly and Elroi Windsor, David Andrew Desper, Lexy Desper and Jennifer Barton; aunts and uncle: Ruth Stanton of Cinnaminson NJ, Jean Windsor of Wallingford, PA, and Dick Bentley of Summerfield, FL; numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews, as well as, other family and friends.

John was deeply loved by his family and friends and there will be an empty spot in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at White Plains United Methodist Church.
