John Daniel York, 85, of Cary went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 2, 2017. John was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. He was also a faithful and active member of Cary Alliance Church. Earlier in life, John proudly served four years in the US Navy during the Korean War. He went on to attend Mississippi State University, where he received his BS degree. John was also a hard worker, making his career in the Agricultural Chemical industry.
John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth York; two children, Libby York Vanderford and John Harrell York, and his wife, Amy; and four grandchildren, John Andrew Vanderford, Summer Vanderford Flanagan, and her husband, Lyle, Luke Daniel York and Layton Elizabeth York.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9 at 2:00pm at Cary Alliance Church, 4108 Ten-Ten Rd, Apex, NC 27539. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in his memory to Cary Alliance Church. Condolences may me made online at www.BrownWynneCary.com.
